Q: I would like to submit more than one application (different research projects with different host teams). Is this allowed, and how should I proceed?

A: Yes, this is allowed. To do so, you must submit one application per proposal, using a different email address (login) for each submission. Please make sure to use the exact same first name and surname for all applications, as this will facilitate the review process.

Q: Does the 8-page limit for the research proposal include the reference list?

A: Yes, the 8-page limit includes the reference list.

Q: Is there any additional funding available to cover the cost of an international secondment?

A: No, there is no additional funding available. Any extra costs must be covered by the two host laboratories involved

Q: Is it mandatory to specify the name of a research director/supervisor?

A: No, this is not mandatory, although it is encouraged.

Q: Do I need to have defended my PhD before the application deadline?

A: Yes, this is a strict eligibility requirement. Your PhD must have been successfully defended before the deadline. In addition, the defence must be unconditional, meaning that no further requirements remain and any necessary corrections have already been completed (all necessary written attestations should be provided).

Q: What is the deadline to start my postdoctoral stay?

A: The deadline is October 1, 2026.

Q: When will I know the results of the call?

A: The final results will be communicated starting mid-November (tentative schedule). The selected candidates will then have two weeks to accept the fellowship offer. Candidates on the waiting list will be contacted as soon as a position becomes available, depending on the responses of higher-ranked candidates.
